Today I will teach you how to make a Homemade Chicken Tikka Masala

Serves 2


1 tbsp Vegetable Oil
1 Large Onion (Finely Diced)
2 tbsp Tikka Masala Paste
2 tbsp Tomato Puree
500g (Skinless) Chicken Breast, Diced into Small Pieces (Preference)
400g Chopped Tomatoes (from a tin)
2 tbsp Mango Chutney
100ml Natural Yogurt
100ml Double Cream
Ground Rock Salt and Ground Black Peppercorns
A Large Handful of Fresh Coriander, Roughly Chopped (Optional)
Rice or Naan to serve with (Optional)


Large Pan (with lid)
Wooden Spoon
Utensils and Crockery for each person being served


1. Heat the Oil in a large pan. Add the onion and a pinch of salt once up to temperature and cook over a low heat, covered with the lid for 20 minutes or until the onions are completely softened.

2. Take off the lid and stir in the tikka masala paste, tomato puree and chicken pieces. Fry for a few minutes then add the tomatoes. Bring to the boil, reduce the heat and simmer for 8-10 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.

3. Stir in the chutney, yogurt and cream and heat through. Check the seasoning and add more if it is insufficient. Garnish with coriander and serve with Rice or Naan.
