In the spirit of shrove tuesday, today we will be learning how to make pancakes
Makes 8 Pancakes
125 Grams (4 oz) of Plain Flour
A Pinch of Salt
1 Medium Egg
300ml (½ Pint) of Milk
Oil or Butter to coat the Frying Pan
One Frying pan - Size is personal preference
Utensils and Crockery for each person being served
1. Sift the flour and salt into a bowl, make a well in the center and whisk the egg in.
Slowly add the milk in while stirring and combining the mixture.
Leave to stand for 20 minutes
2. Heat a pan and lightly coat with oiul or butter.
Pour a little bit of batter into the pan and swirl the pan with your wrist to cover the entire surface of the pan.
3. Cook each pancake for 1½ - 2 Minutes until golden, flipping over halfway through cooking.
Remove from pan onto a warm plate and repeat for the remaining batter.
